My journey at SASKEN

Journey at Sasken

I barely knew anybody apart from John and Rashmi among the people joining at sasken. On the D day that is the 10th of july I was there waiting right in front of the Hyundai service centre looking out for the directions. That is where I happened to meet our Macha a.k.a Mahesh a.k.a Michael a.k.a Lorry driver. We introduced ourselves and headed towards FAC Z. (The initial impression that I had about him has completely changed now :-) . Both of us have been traveling together in our professional life and as a result of this we share a great bond) .This nomenclature for the various facilities at sasken did sound a bit weird at the start.

After the introductory sessions we were told that we would be undergoing a training at Aprameyah technologies. This was the place where I made great friends. It changed my perception about professional life. The training sessions were really amazing , with most of the lecturers being way too liberal in the tests apart from a couple of them. One of the session as i remember , we discussed about the Bangalore traffic and the flyovers around.

The initial trigger for our group to remain as friends for this long was the treat hosted by Ankur and Ravi. They treated our whole group at Mast Kalandar. That was really nice of them.

Lots to put in here. I think the space is way too less.

People please add in ur valued posts and comments as well :-)

First Word

July 12th 2006 the journey began
Our first words ...

~ Kavya aka KPA

Sasken was the fifth of the campus interviews I attended and the first to clear! Thanks to my inefficiency for not having made it to the first four!!! With time, I came to believe that it all happened for a reason and shortly I accepted the sayings "everything happens for the good" "good things in life take time" etc etc. To me, getting a job was secondary; I had my mind all set to do an MS in USA. I wanted to work jus' so that I have something to do before I fly off to the land of opportunities. (which, I have no faith in anymore ... sigh) It took us less than a couple of days to realize that we had landed at some place that could most likely be imagined to be paradise, now I'm obviously not talking of the boring lectures that tortured us but, the FUN TIMES during breaks, gossip at the tea table, categorizing guys as the funniest, the smartest, and the weirdest ;) We also had some unimaginable funny incidents on our way up to the 3rd floor of Santa Clara - Madhur and Geetha would probably throw light on this as we go on!!! I'll stop blabbering for now. And yeah, currently I'm surviving in this place called Pittsburgh and regretting being away from the BEST friends Sasken gave me...
