Our first words ...
~ Kavya aka KPA
Sasken was the fifth of the campus interviews I attended and the first to clear! Thanks to my inefficiency for not having made it to the first four!!! With time, I came to believe that it all happened for a reason and shortly I accepted the sayings "everything happens for the good" "good things in life take time" etc etc. To me, getting a job was secondary; I had my mind all set to do an MS in USA. I wanted to work jus' so that I have something to do before I fly off to the land of opportunities. (which, I have no faith in anymore ... sigh) It took us less than a couple of days to realize that we had landed at some place that could most likely be imagined to be paradise, now I'm obviously not talking of the boring lectures that tortured us but, the FUN TIMES during breaks, gossip at the tea table, categorizing guys as the funniest, the smartest, and the weirdest ;) We also had some unimaginable funny incidents on our way up to the 3rd floor of Santa Clara - Madhur and Geetha would probably throw light on this as we go on!!! I'll stop blabbering for now. And yeah, currently I'm surviving in this place called Pittsburgh and regretting being away from the BEST friends Sasken gave me...

Great work KPA. Nice to see this. The initial post itself has made me relive those days again and the wonderful moments that we cherished. Hope other people pour in with their comments and amazing posts.
ReplyDeleteRavi, Mahesha , Geetha and myself had met this friday at Beijin bites. It was really nice as v met after sometime. Wish u were also here. Hope v all can meet up soon.
The welcome speech is ready. The red carpet has already been booked and is made from premium Kashmir wool. :-)
Great work again KPA. Kudos to u !!!
BTW Sasken was the eleventh company that I tried. Honestly on the day I cleared the interview, I wasn't that much excited. I had no idea what I was getting into.
ReplyDeleteFor the first time in my life I am happy for something I didn't do well, not getting selected in the first ten companies :D . Somehow it didn't take much time to know each other. It looked as if the entire script was ready and we just had to go there...
Training was like ninth semester except that exams weren't that strict and re-evaluation was free and copying was not a big crime.
After training work started, it was pretty cool in the beginning. It wasn't hectic, we used to spend 30 minutes just for coffee :D and we used have coffee two to three times a day.And timings was flexi, I mean real flexi. You could come anytime and go anytime literally :D As if this was not enough, Sasken used to screen movies every Friday evening :D. True story !
I liked it more than college. I made some real good friends and met some very good managers and colleagues.
